Paced roughly on a further occasion approaching the 250m after contacting a track marker and shifted out having to be corrected. M Hay advised that this runner had raced greenly in this incident which he attributed to the gelding spotting the Ambulance which was positioned in the outfield. Steward's noted Mr Hay's comments.

Authorisation of LORD DELMAR's 3rd placing was withheld until Driver S Abernethy (GOTTA ELECT BILL - 4th placing) had viewed the replays and elected not to proceed with a protest, with placings then being duly authorised.
